We have also managed to improve the clarity for the available dates for the courses we are offering and the locations where they will be held. Another element we have added to the website are FAQ’s for each course to ensure that you have all the information you could possibly need before attending a course or an appointment. As the longest established provider of Botox training we have encountered a fair few questions regarding the course structures, content and requirements for entry and we intend to answer all of these on the new website. With the variety of courses on offer ever expanding it is important to us that you choose the course that is right for you; with the additional information for the FAQ’s we hope that it will make the process of choosing a course an easier decision.

Our Brand New Online Training Academy:

One exciting new element of the new website will be the introduction of our brand new online training academy. From the New Year you will have access to this new learning platform. This will be a brilliant opportunity to learn new techniques and expand your knowledge within the aesthetic industry giving you the opportunity to boost your aesthetic career.

Once up and running you will be able to purchase modules from our online training academy. The modules will consist of a wide variety of topics to suit your needs. These modules will range from the likes of managing Botox complications to business and marketing for your aesthetic practice. Whether you are looking to refresh your skills or develop your knowledge there will be something for you. Here at Cosmetic Courses we pride ourselves on the level of support we offer to our delegates once they have trained with us and there will also be support materials accessible on the training platform such as consent forms and resources to help make your aesthetic practice successful.  All of the modules on our online training academy will also be CPD certified; an excellent way to earn CPD points from the comfort of your own home, and they will also be mobile responsive meaning you can complete them on the move. The training academy will also consist of quizzes to make sure you are keeping yourself up to date with the world of aesthetics and maintaining your knowledge. Our training academy will be continually updated and developed to ensure you are receiving the most up to date and relevant information possible.

Improved Usability

Our new website will also have better usability for those of you on the move. With ever increasing usage of smart phones and tablets combined with the busy lives led by medical practitioners, we understand the importance of time saving and flexibility. For this reason we have designed our new website so that it will be better tailored for use on mobile phones or other devices, making it easier to browse and enquire whilst out and about and away from your desktop/laptop.

Our Clinical Director Adrian Richards recently joined the editorial board of Aesthetics Journal, the specialist monthly publication for medical aesthetics professionals.

As part of his work with the magazine, he’ll regularly be contributing expert articles on a variety of subjects. If you don’t subscribe to the magazine, or didn’t catch the latest couple of issues, you can read Adrian’s latest contributions here.

Adrian wrote this article in collaboration with Cosmetic Courses trainer and Aurora Skin Clinics Clinical Lead Mel Recchia. They discuss two recent cases treated at Aurora. Both female patients had received dermal fillers to the upper face region at other clinics, and experienced significant late-onset peri-orbital swelling some time afterwards. Both were successfully treated with Hyaluronidase. As Cosmetic Courses finishes its last Foundation Course of the year, we look back at our feedback from the past 12 months to see which areas exceeded expectations and if any improvements need to be made.

The main areas we look at in evaluating our training is whether the course was well presented, whether the structure was correct, the effectiveness of our trainers, whether the information was valuable, how beneficial the afternoon session is and whether our delegates would return for further courses.


Over the last 12 months, our delegate feedback form shows that we have improved and exceeded expectations in many areas of the Foundation course. One noticeable factor is that our informative demonstration has never ranked lower than 90%, which shows our strength and also the fact that it is what delegates find most useful and beneficial from their time at the course.


A suitable venue is critical for many delegates and essential that we have all the right equipment and appropriate rooms for the lecture as well as the practical hands-on sessions, which we pride ourselves in offering through The Paddocks Clinic. Through the review, we can clearly see that many delegates have found the venue suitable again through not ranking below 90% on the level of satisfaction whilst in some months reaching 100%.

Practical experience

The course is structured to allow for our delegates to get hands-on experience so they can put into practice the theory that they have learned through Mr Richards’ lecture in the morning of the course. Delegates have shown this to be an indispensable part of the Foundation course, ranking Cosmetic Courses at 98% in November 2012 This demonstrates that having the practitioners present to guide them through the procedure, as well as the fact that they train on real models, is a key advantage of our Foundation course.

Discussion and communication

Another area in which we have shown improvement is discussion time and effective communication; delegates have demonstrated that they find Cosmetic Courses exceeds their expectations in these areas, making our course more effective and invaluable to furthering our delegates’ careers.

So would our delegates recommend us?

As part of Cosmetic Courses we offer further training courses to advance your knowledge through a small group or as bespoke training. We asked our delegates whether they would consider training with us further and if they are likely to recommend us to a friend. From this we can see that on average over 97% (223 delegates!) would always recommend us to their colleague and can’t wait to come back for further training in the future.

The delegate feedback form also showed that on average 92% of delegates thought that the course was well presented and felt they learnt a great deal from their time at Cosmetic Courses, which is great feedback for us to receive.

After each course we assess the feedback given from our delegates to see if any improvements can be made for future training. Through the use of the delegate feedback forms, we can recognise that like with anything there may be room for small improvements but in general most areas demonstrate that we have exceeded expectations.

Overall, throughout Cosmetic Courses’ 10 year history, we have consistently received outstanding reviews from our delegates which has reinforced our reputable position in is this industry. Here’s to 2013 and beyond…
