How do I train As An aesthetic Nurse

The field of Aesthetic Nursing has exploded over the last 10 years. It can be a great way for nurses to help people feel better about themselves and their lives, while still practising nursing.

Nurses are becoming increasingly involved in aesthetics

As the demand for aesthetic treatments is increasing, nurses are in a unique position to help patients with their aesthetic concerns. They can help them feel more confident and happier about how they look, which may improve their overall well-being.

How can nurses get into aesthetics training?

There are several ways to get started in aesthetics training. We recommend enrolling onto a Foundation course in Botulinum Toxin and dermal fillers. After you have completed this course, you can then expand your knowledge by choosing other aesthetic courses covering a variety of treatments. The foundation course can also be used as part of your Level 7 Diploma, if this is the route you are wishing to take.

Whatever method you choose, remember that it is important not only that you understand what makes someone beautiful but also how they feel about themselves when they look in the mirror every day before stepping out into society again after getting their procedure done – whether it be injections or chemical peels – because these two things go together!

Full-time, part-time or online

  • Full-time training is the most intensive option, and it can be a good choice for someone who wants to learn as much as possible in a short amount of time.
  • Part-time programs are typically more accommodating if you have other commitments.
  • Online courses allow you to study at your own pace, so they’re ideal if you want flexibility with your schedule. Our Online Academy allows you to learn anywhere at any time.

Where to get training?

Now that you know what aesthetics are, and how they can help your patients, where do you go to get training?

The first step is to do some research. There are many different training providers offering courses available in this field, so it’s important to find the right one for your needs. Some of the key areas you should be looking out for should be:

  • Only training medical professions
  • CPD accredited
  • Training held in a clinical environment
  • Use of live models (live patients)
  • Support offered to delegate (before, during and after)

Cosmetic Courses offers practical training within all our courses in a state-of-the-art training clinic. This clinical environment combined with the hands-on training allows our delegates to apply the theory and techniques they have learnt from the lectures into their practice following the courses.

These treatments are carried out on live models under close supervision from our aesthetic trainers, which also gives our delegates the chance to ask any questions or queries that they may have. At Cosmetic Courses, we only train doctors, dentists, and nurses. Practical training sessions are an essential part of our course content as we feel it is an asset for the delegates that train with us.

Our unlimited support helps delegates with their unanswered questions from their training or any questions that might have arisen from treating their patients. This includes both aspects of aesthetics, the clinical side, and the business side.

What courses should I consider doing?

There are a few things to consider before choosing the right course. Firstly, if you want to be an aesthetic nurse, there are some prerequisites required such as, you must be medically trained and qualified. You do not however need to be a nurse prescriber to get started, this is something you can look into as you continue your learning.

Nurses are at the forefront of the shift towards aesthetic treatments

Nurses are at the forefront of a growing field. The beauty industry is booming, and it is not just about hair and makeup anymore. As aesthetic treatments become more popular, nurses are trained in a wide range of skills that allow them to provide many diverse types of aesthetic care to help their patients feel better both physically and mentally.

The future of the aesthetic industry looks bright, especially for those who are willing to embrace it. As we’ve seen in this article, there are plenty of options out there, whether you want to do a full course or just dip your toe into aesthetics. For nurses who want to get started on their training now, it might be as simple as enrolling in an online course and reading up on some textbooks!
