Our Starting Strong in Aesthetics sessions are for medical professionals new to aesthetics. Experienced practitioners and educators from Cosmetic Courses lead these talks. They aim for safe entry, reliable growth, and a lasting career in today’s aesthetics field.
All sessions will take place in the In Practice Theatre on Friday 13th March.
Starting Strong in Aesthetics: Regenerative Treatments Explained

Dr Lee Smith

Dr Lee shares how he moved from NHS haematology to regenerative aesthetics and advanced aesthetic practice. This session explains regenerative treatments such as PRP, polynucleotides, and bio fillers. It covers their benefits, uses, and increasing importance in modern aesthetic medicine.
Dr Lee Smith is a doctor. He has degrees in Biomedical Science and Medicine. He also has broad experience in the NHS. He runs his own aesthetics clinic in South London. There, he offers personalised, clinically led care. He is an alumnus and trainer from Cosmetic Courses. He teaches medical professionals about botulinum toxin, dermal fillers, and skin rejuvenation. His focus is on safe practices, customised treatment plans, and improving patient outcomes.

Dr Fiona Durban shares her extensive clinical experience. She discusses the importance of recognised qualifications, training standards, and professional accountability. Dr Fiona Durban is a medical doctor with 25 years’ experience and a strong background in women’s health. She has worked full-time in aesthetics for the past 13 years and is clinical lead at The Cosmetic Centre. With a Level 7 qualification in Medical Aesthetics, Fiona teaches and assesses the subject. She is focused on safe practices, natural outcomes, and maintaining the highest clinical standards.
Starting Strong in Aesthetics: Building a Successful Aesthetic Career

Dentist and Aesthetic Practitioner, Cosmetic Courses
Dr Olha talks about her journey in medical aesthetics. She started out and built a successful career in clinical work and training.
This session offers practical tips to help you:

Attendees will get clear insights into marketing, patient acquisition, and key business strategies.
Dr Olha Vorodyukhina finished her Dentistry degree at the Ukrainian Medical Stomatological Academy in 2005. She moved to the UK in 2009. She entered medical aesthetics in 2011 and joined the Cosmetic Courses faculty in 2014. As the clinical lead of Cosmetic Courses Midlands, she combines clinical practice with education. She trains students from beginner to advanced levels. Her main focus is on patient safety, education, and achieving natural results.

Mr Adrian Richards is one of the UK’s top consultant plastic surgeons. He specialises in both surgical and non-surgical aesthetic treatments. He trained in Oxford and London. He also received specialist training in Australia and the USA. His focus areas are cosmetic surgery, education, and clinical leadership. He is the medical director of Cosmetic Courses and iQonic Aesthetics. He belongs to both the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons and the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. He has written over 30 publications, including a best-selling book on plastic surgery.
