VTCT Level 7 Diploma Fast Track
The VTCT Level 7 Diploma Fast Track route is now approved by the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP).
We have been working with VTCT and the JCCP to improve access to the Level 7 Diploma Qualification, and are pleased to offer the Fast Track route, awarded by VTCT & regulated by OfQual for practitioners with over 3 years of experience.
Fast Track Your Aesthetic Medicine Qualification
Delegates will need to demonstrate their knowledge and experience within aesthetic medicine and obtain formal recognition for previous training courses within the field.
What does the Level 7 Diploma Fast Track involve?
The qualification is broken down into two sections for you to complete:
Theory Exam
The Theory Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ’s) Exam will be based on clinical scenarios. The exam will be held within exam conditions and can be completed remotely.
OSCE
Within our clinic you are observed on a 1:1 basis by one of our expert assessors. The assessment will comprise of a toxin and filler treatment to be carried out under exam conditions.
Level 7 Diploma Fast Track requirements
The requirements for this qualification would be:
- Registered medical professionals with a recognised governing body.
- Provide evidence of a minimum of 3 years of clinical practice within the non-surgical cosmetic industry.
- Submit evidence of complete case histories- a verifiable evidence log of a minimum of 40 case studies for Botox and Dermal Filler each. This must be generated evenly over the previous 3 years.
- Submit a peer reference whose experience is equal to or greater than the learner’s.
- Must provide proof of insurance to practice covering the period of case study histories.

What experience and qualifications do I need to be eligible for the VTCT Level 7 Diploma Fast Track?
The requirements for the VTCT Level 7 Diploma Fast Track are:
- Registered medical professionals with a recognised governing body such as the GMC (General Practitioners), GDC (Dentists), NMC (Nursing Practitioners). Please note, your regulatory body must deem non-surgical cosmetic practice to be within your professional scope.
- Evidence of a minimum of 3 years of hands-on clinical practice within the non-surgical cosmetic industry.
- Evidence of complete case histories- a verifiable evidence log of you having administered a minimum of 40 treatments for each of Botox and Dermal Fillers. This must be generated evenly over the previous 3 years.
- Submit a peer reference whose experience is equal to or greater than the learner’s.
- You must provide proof of holding medical indemnity (or medical malpractice) insurance across the period of case study histories you submit as evidence. Please note, you must also hold this level of insurance during your level-7 training with Cosmetic Courses.
What evidence is needed for the VTCT Level 7 Diploma Fast Track?
You will need to submit evidence of a minimum of 40 complete case histories as verifiable evidence. These case studies will demonstrate your practical experience as an aesthetics practitioner in administering Botox and dermal fillers and must be generated evenly over the previous 3 years.
Who can enrol on to the VTCT Level 7 Diploma Fast Track?
The VTCT Level 7 Diploma Fast Track is open to registered medical professionals such as doctors, dentists (also suitably qualified dental therapists), nurses and pharmacists who are registered with bodies like GMC, GDC, NMC, or HCPC, or their international equivalents. You will also need to evidence having 3 years’ experience as a qualified medical practitioner and show proof of holding medical indemnity insurance continuously across the previous 3 years.
What is the cost of the VTCT Level 7 Diploma Fast Track?
The VTCT Level 7 Diploma Fast Track costs £2,000 + VAT ( £2,400 inc VAT) for the one-day intensive course held at one of our UK training centres. Please note, we offer finance terms, including 0% finance.
What topics will be covered in the theory exam?
The Level-7 theory exam for the Fast Track route covers topics such as toxin and dermal filler treatments, facial anatomy, ageing, pharmacology, safety, ethics and management, facial anatomy, consultation procedures, botulinum toxin and dermal filler techniques, complication management, and relevant legal and ethical considerations. Specific modules may focus on history, ethics, and law in aesthetic medicine, as well as the psychology of facial aesthetics.
Will I need to provide proof of insurance?
You must provide proof of holding medical indemnity (or medical malpractice) insurance across the period of case study histories you submit as evidence. Please note you must also hold this level of insurance during your level-7 training with Cosmetic Courses.
