As we age we see many changes to our skin and facial structures. Although ageing affects everyone the speed of these changes can vary depending on a number of influencing factors such as sun exposure, lifestyle habits, genetics and hormones.
Dermal filler is made up of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found within us which causes us to look plump and youthful when we are young. As we age collagen starts to break down which reduces the volume behind our skin. Re-introducing the hyaluronic acid using dermal filler treatment can plump out deep skin folds whilst also enhancing and sculpting the face giving an overall lifting effect.
With the continuing improvements of non surgical devices we are seeing more patients opt for this over surgery due to the decreased downtime, risk and costs incurred.
