Why we created the Starting Strong in Aesthetics open day
Last month we hosted our Starting Strong in Aesthetics open day in London.
The event was designed to support those looking to take their first step into the aesthetics industry.
The purpose of the day was to provide clear and practical guidance on training, business setup, compliance, and technology.
The focus was on building strong foundations from the very beginning.
Opening the day

We welcomed guests with coffee and pastries and their goody bags as the day began.
This allowed attendees time to settle in, connect with others, and prepare for the sessions ahead.

Business and marketing essentials
The morning sessions opened with a business and marketing presentation led by our clinic owner Keelee and members of our marketing team.
This session focused on the most important elements of setting up an aesthetics clinic correctly.
Topics included
Google Business setup and visibility
Booking platforms and patient journey management
Client communication systems
The role of social media in building credibility and trust
The emphasis throughout this session was on creating a professional clinic with long term sustainability rather than short term growth.

Understanding qualification pathways
Our qualifications coordinator then delivered a detailed breakdown of the available training pathways.
This included an overview of qualifications from Level 3 and Level 4 through to Level 7.
Each level was explained clearly, including who it is suitable for and how it fits into long term career progression.
The session highlighted why choosing the correct qualification route early is essential for both compliance and future opportunities within aesthetics.

Insurance and safety considerations
We were joined by our insurance partner Owlicity, who discussed the importance of being fully insured when practicing aesthetics.
This session covered
Why insurance is essential
Key safety considerations
Protecting both practitioner and patient
The discussion reinforced the importance of operating within professional and ethical standards from the outset.

Networking lunch
Guests then took part in a networking lunch.
This provided valuable time for discussion, peer connection, and one to one conversations with the Cosmetic Courses team.

Hands on experience with advanced technology
In the afternoon attendees were given the opportunity to experience our advanced equipment.
This included hands on demonstrations of our skin scanner analysis system as well as our energy based laser and light devices.
These sessions gave insight into how technology supports skin assessment, treatment planning, and modern clinic services.

A successful and informative day
The open day was very well received by attendees and provided clear guidance across training, business, compliance, and technology.
We are proud to support those entering aesthetics by offering honest education and practical insight.
Helping individuals build strong foundations is something we value highly.
We look forward to welcoming more aspiring practitioners at future events.
