We recently spoke with Professor David Sines CBE about an update on regulation in the aesthetics industry, specifically the Government Consultation – Licensing of non-surgical cosmetic procedures.
Here is what he had to say about the current situation:
‘Unfortunately the long awaited Government response to the first Non Surgical Cosmetics Consultation document has been delayed due the suspension of Parliament for the election. This means that nothing has been ‘derailed’ but the timeline for a Government announcement on their response will not be expected no until either late July or September this year. The JCCP is confident that both the Labour and Conservative administrations remain committed to the principles enshrined in the Health and Care Act, 2022 regarding the implementation of a new mandated license for the non-surgical sector in England’.
