Will I need insurance and can I treat after completing my Foundation Botox and Dermal Filler Training Course

We are often asked questions about insurance and treating patients after successfully completing the Foundation Botox and Dermal Filler Training Course from medical professionals.

The Foundation Botox and Dermal Filler Training Course is a medical professional’s entry into aesthetics and will teach you all the basics. Before the Foundation Course, you will receive online learning materials to help you prepare for the practical element. On the training day, we will be really focusing on teaching you the clinical skills you need to treat your first patients. We have a mixture of focused lecture videos that teach you how to perform the treatments and all the essential information about safety. You will then get to put your learning into practice on live model patients under the guidance of our expert trainers.

Insurance of the day of your course

On the Foundation Training Course, you are insured by Cosmetic Courses. You will not have to organise this yourself. To attend our training, you must be medically qualified as a surgeon, doctor, dentist or nurse with current registration with the GMC, GDC or NMC, or equivalent if you are an overseas delegate. When you successfully complete the Foundation Botox and Dermal Filler Training Course, you will receive a certificate of completion. This certificate is recognised by all major aesthetic insurance companies. Once you have your insurance, you can practice what you have learnt.

Insurance after your training

We will recommend an insurance company called HPPB, which focuses on the aesthetics industry. They are very specialised, friendly and can give a very reasonable quote. More importantly, they have a Medical Advisory Board, which can advise you if you have any issues. This support is crucial when dealing with any issues or claims promptly and effectively.

Why do you need insurance?

There are several reasons as to why you need insurance to complete aesthetic treatments, such as:

  1. Financial protection: Insurance can help protect you financially by offsetting or covering the expenses associated with your treatments. It also provides a safety net in case of unexpected complications, additional procedures or unsatisfactory results.
  2. Complications: Your insurance will give you access to medical support in the event of a complication for help and advice.
  3. Peace of mind: Insurance provide safety for you so you can focus on the treatments and patient experience knowing that you have insurance behind you.
