The Level 7 Diploma in Injectables for Clinical Aesthetic Treatments is an VTCT regulated qualification. It is a competency based diploma that is aimed at doctors, dentists, nurses and midwives who hold a current professional registration. It has been created in line with the HEE and JCCP guidelines relevant to the administration of Botulinum Toxin and Dermal Fillers.

The Level 7 Diploma has been created in line with the HEE and JCCP guidelines relevant to the administration of Botulinum Toxin and Dermal Fillers and is therefore a recognised qualification within aesthetics. The Diploma is a qualification that can take up to 12 months to complete and includes the following:

One day Foundation Botox and Dermal Filler Training Course
Online training modules covering in depth information from patient consultation through to complications

Assignments and literature review

Clinical observation days where you observe 10 Botox and 10 dermal filler treatments in a clinical environment

Supervised practice days where you administer 10 Botox and 10 dermal filler treatments under the supervision in a clinical environment

Practical Examination with an external examiner to show full understanding and injecting competency

As the level 7 is an in depth qualification more and more clinics are requiring practitioners to have completed the level 7 Diploma as part of their recruitment requirement.

It is not yet mandatory to complete the Level 7 Diploma before you can inject. However more and more clinics are looking for this as part of their recruitment requirements.

No, you can complete one day courses to start a career in aesthetics. To train with Cosmetic Courses you must be medically qualified as a surgeon, doctor, dentist or nurse with a current registration with the GMC, GDC or NMC, or equivalent if you are an overseas delegate.

No you don’t, we do however recommend you continue to train in aesthetic treatments to ensure you continue to develop your skills and leaning new techniques and treatments.

If you are new to aesthetics then you will need to complete the Level 7 Diploma in Injectables for clinical aesthetic treatments from the beginning.

If you are an experience aesthetic practitioner you may be able to complete the course via the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). This route requires you to complete the online learning material, summative synoptic assignments, literature review and final practical assessment with an external objective examination to demonstrate their level of confidence in aesthetic medicine. You will also be required to show evidence of the clinical practice element of the diploma using treatments you have performed prior to enrolling. This evidence could come from your existing portfolio.

Once you have completed our Botox and Dermal Filler Foundation course we recommend you to practice your new skills on family and friend. This will develop your skills and confidence and provide valuable for the rest of the course.

At the moment the Level 7 Diploma in Injectables for Clinical Aesthetic Treatments is not mandatory to start a career in aesthetics. However, more and more clinics are requiring aesthetic practitioners to have completed it as part of their recruitment process.

We have six locations within the UK, London, Buckinghamshire, Belfast, Nottingham, Leeds and Birmingham and provide our Botox and Dermal Filler Foundation training course in all of these locations The practical, observation and final examination take place in our clinics in Buckinghamshire and Nottingham.

As part of the course there is an online element. This uses a mixture of videos and interactive modules, providing delegates with in depth knowledge; ranging from understanding your patient, complications to the historical context of aesthetics. There is assignments and literature review aspect to the course. This is coursework that consists of an assignment paper and a 1500 literature review for clinical study, using knowledge gained in your interactive online modules and your own research.

The observation, practical and final examination are practical elements to the course and are required to be completed in one of our clinics. We hold these days in our Buckinghamshire or Nottingham clinics.

Here at Cosmetic Courses we only train medical professionals in Botox and Dermal Fillers including Surgeons, Doctors, Dentists, Nurses and Midwives within aesthetics to ensure safety within the specialty.

Yes you can. You will however need to work with a prescriber to complete the prescription for your patients.

The Level 7 Diploma in Injectables for Clinical Aesthetic Treatments is a qualification in administering Botox and Dermal Fillers. Botox is a prescription medication, therefore we only train medical professionals in this qualification.
