Dermal filler training is becoming more popular with medical professionals as all healthcare professionals can partake in the aesthetics industry. Any medical professional (doctor, dentist, nurse) can safely and effectively perform dermal filler treatments with the right training. We are going to be taking you through the different options available to you all the way from Foundation to Expert in your aesthetics journey, so you have an idea of what path you want to take. As aesthetics is a medical procedure, you need to be getting the ultimate learning experience in this area to become a confident and safe injector.
When performing dermal filler treatments, you must know all the different types of dermal fillers before you begin using them. There are many types of dermal filler, and it is important to know which product to use depending on what area of the face you are working on. As an example, we use Juvederm® Dermal Fillers as their products are results-driven and long-lasting to provide the highest quality training and results for our patients.
Dermal fillers are safe to use when performed by trained professionals who have received a high standard of training on how to administer the injections properly. This includes understanding how to inject each product in order to achieve optimal results combined with minimal risk of complications or side effects.
Getting started in Aesthetics Training
Foundation courses are the first step in your journey into aesthetics. Typically, a one-day Botox and Dermal Filler Foundation Course covers an interactive lecture and practical hands-on training so you can put your knowledge into effect. This will provide an understanding of some of the key fundamentals of aesthetics. The content can range from skin anatomy and physiology to technical aspects such as preparing for treatments and injecting Botox and Dermal Fillers correctly.
The practical hands-on training of our one-day Foundation Training course covers areas such as:
- Upper face 3 area Botox
- Nose to mouth lines
- Marionette lines
- Corners of the mouth
Options after Completing Foundation
If you have attended a foundation course before, the next stage of your aesthetic development would be either a Bespoke, Intermediate or Advanced training course. All of these courses are great Dermal Filler Training Options. You will be able to consolidate your current knowledge and develop your techniques whilst addressing any questions regarding the new treatments you will be learning.
What will you learn on the Intermediate training course:
- Upper Face Botox, dermal filler around the mouth, marionette lines and corners of the mouth procedures with practical hands-on experience
- An introduction to Lip and Cheek Augmentation
- Treatment plans for patients
- How to conduct a successful consultation to get the most out of your patient and practitioner experience
The Advanced training course will enable you to gain an understanding of the following treatments:
- Brow lift
- Mentalis treatments
- Lower face Botox
- Nefertiti lift/platysmal bands
- Treatment of hyperhidrosis (underarm sweating)
- Lip augmentation and enhancement
- Cheek augmentation
These aesthetic training courses will help you develop your skills and build confidence as an injector. Depending on the type of training, this could be by furthering your knowledge in one particular area of treatment or it could be by learning the full range of aesthetic treatments available. If you want to learn the full range, our intermediate, or advanced training courses ensure you are up to date with the latest techniques and will provide you with the key practical skills to immediately introduce new injectable treatments to your patients.
Although if you have a particular area you want to focus on such as lips then the Introduction to Lip Filler would be your best option and then you can go on to the Lip Masterclass Training Course so you can really specialise in this area. As with any medical competency, it is important to continually update your skills and gain CPD points, but it is also vital that you are able to offer your loyal patients a full range of treatments.
Once you have been practising at an advanced level on a regular basis for some time and feel established as an aesthetic practitioner you can move on to our Expert training courses. These courses are designed for more experienced medical professionals practising advanced techniques regularly and confident using a cannula. This is because these treatments require an essential and comprehensive anatomical knowledge of the face as they are the most advanced non-surgical procedures.
Here are the expert level training courses we offer:
- Chin and Jaw Filler Training
- Tear Trough Rejuvenation
- Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty
- PDO Thread Lift
- Silhouette Soft Thread Lift
They will also help to build up your portfolio of work, so they’re a great way of showcasing your abilities as an injector.
So what are your Dermal Filler Training options?
Well, you need to complete a foundation training course which is the first step into aesthetics. Once you’ve done this you can then branch out into a different area depending on what you what to focus on. The routes are what you make them and that’s the great thing about the aesthetics industry.
